Nós do Morro increasinly spreads its activities and nowadays operates in different cities with projects that multiply their methodology and philosophy of life. The multiplication started with SESC, as part of the project Tempo Livre, in 2004.
In 2005 the project was named “Da idéia ao Espetáculo” and all the groups presented the results of the workshops with the performance of plays in theaters in the cities of Saquarema, Japerí, Miracema and Cachoeiras de Macacu.
In 2006, the project was more firmly established. In Saquarema, the “Casa do Nós” Group was created. In Japeri, the “Código de Artes Cênicas” Group emerged and the Itaocara center founded “Nóis da Roça”. All of these groups work autonomously, in their own places, offering courses and workshops for the general public.
Another aspect of the multiplication philosophy and methodology of Nós do Morro can be seen in Nova Iguaçu – Cultural Workshops of Nós do Morro in Nova Iguaçu - where, through the sponsorship of Petrobras and in partnership with the City Government, ten cultural centers were created in municipal schools for 1440 children and youngsters in 2006. Workshops on Introduction to Drama were offered. In Nova Iguaçu, besides the art and technical education, human and citizenship education are also prioritized through the research of the historical and cultural memories of the neighborhoods where the cultural centers worked. A team of 52 artists from Nova Iguaçu, trained by Nós do Morro, acted as multipliers in the workshops. |
